This totem series was inspired by the recent Covid epidemic. During those unprecedented times, many people got severely sick and many died. At its worst the medical system was overwhelmed. Many had to wait for medical care.  

These totem references symbols from the Greek goddess Epione’s healing staff. Epione is sometimes depicted with a crown of stars in her hair which to me symbolically refers to the corona virus. Also shown are tears of humanity that were shed across the globe. Ancient and modern cultures look to spiritual powers for healing during turbulent times.`
